Kilmallock golf society made the trip to Ballykisteen last Saturday 13th for our second outing of the year. Ballykisteen was in superb condition with excellent fairways and super fast greens it provided a great test of the golfing skills of the 41 members who took part in the outing. Given the weather conditions and the fact that the course was playing though the pundits had predicted that a score of 40 points would be very hard to beat. Continue reading
There are some changes to the format of the Balbec cup this year in that all entries will this year be entered into an open draw which will take place at the presentation of prizes after the Ballykisteen outing. If you wish to have your name in the hat please contact John Joe Buckley or Dave Mulcahy on or before that outing. There are also changes being made to the Alan Lillingston cup and shield competition this year Patrick Barrett and Pat Nagle are looking after this and more details will follow.
The AGM of kilmallock golf society took place on Friday 1st of March in Barra o Dwyer’s meeting room .There was a great turn out for the AGM with nearly 30 members attending on the night. There was a lot to get through on the night and we started off with a minuets silence for the deceased members who were once part of the society. Continue reading
The shield final consisted of Cal O Donnell and Pat O Donnell versus Willie Hayes and Ger Bourke of all the matches that took place this would have been the one you would wish that the television cameras were at. The banter between the two seasoned campaigners’ would have been worth the licence fee alone put to that the trills and spills of the scotch foursomes and you would have had compelling viewing.
